Our Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Want to Know About
SHEFA
At SHEFA BesBosmara Boerdery, we believe in farming with transparency and purpose — here are the answers to some of the questions we’re asked most often.
What does “SHEFA” mean?
“Shefa” is a Hebrew word meaning abundance, divine provision, and blessing — and that’s the heart of our farm. Every calf, every sunrise, and every season of growth is a reminder that we farm with faith, gratitude, and purpose.
Do you currently sell Bonsmara cattle?
We’re in the process of building a strong, genetically sound herd. While we aren’t actively selling stock yet, we’re laying the foundation for future availability — follow us to stay updated.
What makes SHEFA’s Bonsmara different?
Our focus is on veld-smart, performance-driven genetics backed by faith and purpose. Every animal is selected for strength, adaptability, and long-term impact — raised with hands-on care and deep intention.
Do you raise other livestock?
Yes. Indigenous veld goats, savanna goats, meat master sheep and merino sheep.
Where is SHEFA BesBosmara Boerdery based?
We’re proudly based in South Africa, raising veld-adapted Bonsmara on natural pastures — built for performance, rooted in purpose.
Can I visit the farm?
Farm visits are welcome by appointment. We love sharing what we’re building and connecting with others who value quality, livestock, and legacy.
Are your animals registered?
Yes — we are committed to quality and credibility. Our Bonsmara are from registered, performance-tested bloodlines, including standout genetics like Lot 75.
